About the Role

We are seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator with a specialized background in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design to join our engineering team.

In this role, you will serve as the technical backbone of a focused two-person BIM department. Rather than standard drafting, you will be the go-to expert responsible for setting up project files, managing cloud platforms, building custom 3D content, and troubleshooting software issues across our engineering design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Setup & File Management: Set up Revit models and AutoCAD drawings (links, backgrounds, views, and sheets) in alignment with company standards for each project.
• Cloud & Model Administration: Administer Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma) projects, managing models, access permissions, and team members.
• Custom Content Creation: Build and maintain custom 3D MEP components (Revit families and AutoCAD blocks) tailored to project requirements.
• Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with external partner firms and internal design teams to coordinate models, conduct clash detection, and streamline data exchange.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Act as the internal technical support contact for design tools, troubleshooting workflow issues in Revit, AutoCAD, and related platforms across multiple office locations.
• Training & Mentorship: Provide fundamental training on Revit, AutoCAD, ReCap Pro, Enscape, Leica Cyclone, and Bluebeam for new hires, interns, and team members.
• Milestone Deliverables: Assemble PDF document packages for project submissions and milestones.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MEP Experience: 2+ years of direct experience working on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) design using Autodesk software. (Note: Purely architectural BIM experience without MEP systems knowledge will not meet the requirements for this role).
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma).
• Additional Tools: Hands-on experience with Bluebeam, Enscape, ReCap Pro, or Leica Cyclone is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Education: Associate’s degree in architectural drafting/design, engineering technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Adaptability & Communication: Proven ability to manage competing priorities, communicate clearly across distributed teams, and remain organized during fast-turnaround deadlines.
