Job Title: BIM Architect Company: DNArchitects Location: Kotturpuram, Chennai (In-OƯice) Experience Level: 0–3 Years Industry: Architecture, Infrastructure, & Transit Design Consultancy Note to Applicants: Looking For Candidates from Chennai Immediate Joiners arePreffered Job Summary DNArchitects is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented BIM Architect to join our design consultancy team in Chennai. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and managing high-precision Building Information Modeling (BIM) data sets for major commercial, public transit, and Metro infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for executing advanced architectural and structural modeling, ensuring seamless multidisciplinary coordination, and generating fl awless detail design packages.

The ideal candidate possesses deep technical expertise in modeling complex node infrastructure (such as station entry/exits and administrative facilities) and excels at coordinating structural models with complex services engineering layouts. Key Responsibilities  Advanced Modeling: Author high-quality, high-precision architectural and structural BIM models from concept through Detailed Design Consultancy (DDC) stages.  Transit & Node Specialization: Focus extensively on detailed layout fi nalizations, General Arrangement Drawings (GADs), and building packages for station infrastructure, entry/exits, and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) hubs.  Clash Coordination: Conduct rigorous clash-detection and coordination reviews using Navisworks to integrate structural elements seamlessly with MEP/Services engineering networks (Public Health Engineering/PHE, Firefi ghting, and HVAC).  Existing Conditions Capture: Execute Scan-to-BIM workfl ows, translating point cloud data and reality capture scans into accurate, operational digital assets.  Documentation & Delivery: Generate complete, construction-ready documentation, building drawings, and asset clearance sheets strictly adhering to project LOD (Level of Development) requirements. Candidates must have advanced, hands-on command of the following specific tools:  Autodesk Revit: Expert-level modeling capabilities across both Architecture and Structure domains (family creation, templates, and parametric modeling).  Autodesk Navisworks Manage: Profi cient in clash detection, coordination reports, and visual walk-throughs.  Scan-to-BIM Pipelines: Proven experience handling point cloud data insertion and modeling from reality scans.  Please note: Our workfl ow is strictly Revit/Navisworks centric; profi ciency in Bentley or Civil 3D is not required for this position. Qualifi cations & Competencies  Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent professional BIM certifi cation with a strong structural background.  Experience: 0 to 3 years of solid industry experience, with a proven track record working on large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or rapid transit/metro depot projects.  Spatial Mastery: Excellent understanding of building codes, asset clearances, structural frameworks, and the spatial logic required to integrate heavy services into public architectural envelopes.  Communication: Strong collaborative skills to interface eƯiciently with structural engineers, project coordinators, and external client consultants.
