Job Description

A well-established hospitality group is looking for an experienced Beverage Manager to oversee day-to-day beverage operations across a multi-concept property in Boston.

This is a hands-on leadership position for a beverage professional with strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktails, and beverage operations. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable managing a busy service, coaching a team, analyzing beverage performance, and maintaining the standards and controls necessary for a successful beverage program.

The Beverage Manager will play a key role in maintaining and developing the beverage program across several distinct dining and hospitality concepts. This position will work closely with property leadership and the broader beverage team to ensure consistency, profitability, and an exceptional guest experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead daily beverage operations across multiple concepts and service environments
  • Maintain and continually improve wine, spirits, beer, and cocktail offerings
  • Drive beverage sales and help identify opportunities to increase revenue
  • Train, coach, and develop beverage and service team members
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and ensure staff are confident in beverage presentation and service
  • Monitor beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and product usage
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with beverage cost controls
  • Review sales and financial performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Partner with culinary and operations leadership to support a cohesive guest experience
  • Maintain high standards for service, presentation, cleanliness, and product quality
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, alcohol service, and company policies
  • Assist with special events, programming, menu development, and other beverage initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

  • At least 3 years of experience in beverage management or a comparable leadership role
  • Background in upscale, high-volume, fine dining, luxury hospitality, or similarly sophisticated restaurant environments
  • Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, and classic and contemporary cocktails
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and motivate a service team
  • Strong understanding of beverage costs, inventory, purchasing, and financial controls
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Professional, positive, and team-oriented approach
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, Excel, and hospitality technology
  • Food safety certification required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods and lift and carry up to 50 pounds
