Our long‑tenured Bar Manager is moving on to an exciting new project, and we’re looking for the next leader to step into this key role at Arlo SoHo . To ensure a strong and seamless transition, the incoming Bar Manager will train directly under her, gaining deep operational insight into the property, the team, and the beverage program she helped build. About the Role The Bar Manager oversees all bar operations at Arlo SoHo while upholding Renwick Hospitality Group’s service standards. This role ensures beverage quality, operational consistency, financial discipline, and team development across all bar‑related spaces. You’ll collaborate closely with F&B leadership, culinary partners, and hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership Oversee bar operations across all service periods to ensure smooth, efficient, guest‑focused service. Maintain a visible leadership presence, supporting staff and resolving challenges in real time. Uphold Renwick Hospitality Group’s service standards across all guest‑facing spaces.
Ensure bar opening and closing procedures meet RHG expectations. Floor Operations Support (Opening, Mid, and Closing Shifts) Support opening, mid‑shift, and closing operations across both bar and floor teams. Demonstrate a full understanding of all service elements — table service, bar service, pacing, guest flow, and recovery — to best support the team.
Assist with floor management during peak periods, transitions, and high‑volume shifts. Partner with servers, bartenders, barbacks, and support staff to drive revenue, efficiency, and guest experience . Ensure all service areas are properly set, maintained, and closed to RHG standards.
Step into leadership roles on the floor as needed to maintain consistency and operational excellence. Beverage Program Management Ensure strict adherence to all house recipes, including classics from the cocktail compendium . Maintain cocktail production standards, garnish execution, and overall beverage quality.
Lead monthly bar trainings and ongoing staff development using RHG training platforms. Supervise prep teams to ensure all batches, syrups, infusions, clarifications, and juices meet exact specifications. Oversee bar cleanliness, organization, and DOH compliance.
Support menu development, seasonal updates, tastings, and beverage R&D. Inventory, Ordering & Cost Control Conduct monthly beverage inventory counts with accurate reporting, reconciliation, and variance tracking. Place and track all beverage, bar supply, and equipment orders.
Monitor cost of goods, waste, and usage patterns to support financial goals. Ensure operating supplies & equipment are properly maintained, stored, and controlled. Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries.
Digital Inventory System & POS Management Manage RHG’s online inventory system, ensuring accurate product mapping to the POS. Update recipes, including vintage changes , cost adjustments, and spec modifications. Maintain digital organization of all beverage items, categories, and modifiers.
Collaborate with leadership to ensure POS buttons, pricing, and product availability remain current. Troubleshoot discrepancies between physical inventory, digital inventory, and POS reporting. Ensure recipe accuracy and consistency across RHG properties.
Team Development & Culture Support onboarding and continuous training for bartenders, barbacks, and servers. Provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship to uphold performance expectations. Foster a positive, inclusive, and professional work environment aligned with RHG values of kindness, persistence, attention to detail, and holistic support.
Maintain consistent communication with F&B leadership and cross‑department partners. Administrative & Program Support Maintain updated task lists and ensure daily completion, including DOH standards. Assist with programming, events, activations, and seasonal initiatives.
Support communication between culinary, management, and hotel teams. Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to operational planning. Qualifications Proven experience in bar management or beverage leadership.
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and beverage production. Experience with inventory systems , POS mapping, and recipe management. Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Open availability required for leadership roles.
Understanding of cost control, ordering, and financial performance.
