Job Description

Job Summary The successful candidate will have experience in data collection and analysis, and the appropriate skills to design, develop, generate and maintain reports. You will demonstrate attention to detail, check accuracy of reporting, and present complex data in an easily understandable format. You will be expected to analyse data from multiple sources and provide key analysis and decision‑making information for clinical and operational activities within the Directorate.

The Data Analyst reports to the Clinical Service Lead for all listed duties and any additional duties assigned by management. Main Duties, Tasks & Skills Required Self‑motivated with a can‑do attitude, prioritising workload to meet deadlines. Create, update, maintain and improve reports to a high standard.

Interrogate data and create appropriate reports to support the clinical team. Build and maintain relationships with operations & clinical teams, liaising regularly to understand processes and accurately identify reporting requirements. Good communication and MS Office skills, publishing information in an excellent format for any level within the organisation.

Work across sites, attending meetings with operations and clinical teams. Qualifications Educated to A level standard plus 2 years NHS experience in a data analyst post. Previous experience presenting complex data in a user‑friendly format.

Experience Production of key performance indicator reports. Experience presenting complex data in a user‑friendly format. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Access and Excel, creating and manipulating pivot tables and charts.

Desirable Skills Extended experience in a healthcare or similar administrative environment. Exceptional negotiating skills, ability to influence others. Experience Endobase, Microsoft TSQL, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services.
