Backend Engineer

What you will own: - The entire backend of a live consumer product - NestJS monorepo, microservices architecture, the full server-side stack - Database design, migrations, and query optimization (Prisma + PostgreSQL) - Infrastructure and deployments (Docker, Azure Container Apps, CI/CD) - Real-time systems (WebSocket, Redis pub/sub), caching, and payment integrations - API design, stability, and production reliability - Backend for new features shipping on a weekly cadence - Integration layer between the mobile app, AI services, and data systems What we are looking for: - 1-5 years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js - Strong experience with NestJS or similar structured backend frameworks - PostgreSQL and Prisma (or equivalent ORM) - schema design, migrations, query optimization - Docker and containerized deployments - Understanding of event-driven architecture and pub/sub patterns - Comfortable debugging production systems through logs, traces, and metrics - You use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) daily to write, debug, and ship faster.

Not optional - this is how we work. - Active builder - you maintain side projects, contribute to open source, or ship things outside of work - Able to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions with minimal direction Why join Xuman.AI: You are joining the foundation.
