AWS Platform Engineer (Foundation | Services | Security | Networking)
Remote w/some trips on-site in Porto, Lisbon (Portugal)| Long-Term Project
We are looking for experienced AWS Platform Engineers to join a large-scale cloud transformation programme. We have multiple openings across several platform domains, including Foundation, Services, Security and Networking.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise AWS environments, helping to design, build and operate secure, scalable and highly available cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain enterprise AWS platform services.
- Build scalable, secure and automated cloud infrastructure.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
- Support the implementation of cloud governance, security and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, DevOps and architecture teams.
- Monitor platform performance, availability and security.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical planning and solution design.

Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an AWS Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services and best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
- Good scripting skills (Python, Bash or PowerShell).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Fluent English.
Nice to Have
- AWS Certifications (Associate or Professional level).
- Experience with Kubernetes or container platforms.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud monitoring tools.
- Experience in large enterprise or global cloud transformation programmes.
