AVP F&A Operations

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance & Accounting (F&A) Practice to lead and expand our global F&A services. This senior leadership role is responsible for end-to-end service delivery, client relationship management, P&L ownership, people development, and digital

transformation across the F&A portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in

Procure to Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Record to Report (R2R) and

Order to Cash (O2C) processes, with a strong focus on performance, profitability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Service Delivery & Operations

• Lead and ensure flawless delivery of F&A services across clients, meeting all contractual SLAs
• and KPIs.
• Oversee and drive excellence in key processes:

a. Procure to Pay (P2P) – requisitioning, procurement, vendor onboarding, invoice

handling, payments

b. Accounts Payable (AP) – invoice processing, exception handling, vendor management

c. Accounts Receivable (AR) – billing, collections, dispute resolution, cash application

d. Record to Report (R2R) – journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting.

e. Order to Cash (O2C) – order entry, credit checks, invoicing, collections, dispute resolution

• Leverage shared services and global delivery centers to drive efficiency and scalability.
• Drive automation and digitization to enhance process throughput, accuracy, and turnaround
• times.

Client Relationship & Growth

• Act as the strategic partner and advisor to clients, ensuring high satisfaction and trust.

• Own and improve the Net Promoter Score (NPS) across the F&A client base.

• Partner with business development, pre-sales, and solutioning teams to support pursuits and grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling.

P&L and Business Management

• Full ownership of P&L for the F&A practice, ensuring revenue growth, cost control, and margin improvement.

• Identify levers for operational cost optimization and process re-engineering.

• Align delivery performance with strategic business goals and market expectations.

People Leadership

• Manage a large, global team of F&A professionals.

• Drive strategies for hiring, onboarding, retention, performance management, and succession planning.

• Champion continuous learning, capability building, and upskilling/reskilling to future-proof

talent.

Transformation & Innovation

• Lead business transformation initiatives using Lean Six Sigma, automation, RPA, AI, and

analytics.

• Establish Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and best practices for each F&A process tower.

• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and value creation.

Collaboration & Governance

• Work closely with cross-functional teams – HR, Legal, Compliance, IT, Finance – to

ensure holistic governance and execution.

• Maintain rigorous compliance, audit-readiness, and risk management standards.

Key Requirements

• 15–20 years of extensive experience in F&A Outsourcing/Shared Services, with 5+ years in a

leadership role.

• Proven expertise in:

1. Procure to Pay (P2P) and Accounts Payable (AP)

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) and Order to Cash (O2C)

3. Record to Report (R2R) and financial reporting

• Hands-on experience in driving global operations, client relationships, P&L management, and business transformation.

• Strong understanding of ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Workday), workflow tools, and automation frameworks.

• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

• Demonstrated success in delivering value-added services and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA / CPA / MBA (Finance) / ICWA

• Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or digital transformation (preferred)
