Job Description:

Job Title: Automation Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in test automation, API testing, CI/CD pipelines, and Python development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks, integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation test frameworks.

Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend services.

Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

Work with Docker containers for test environment setup and execution.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure continuous quality assurance.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and track issues through resolution.

Improve automation coverage, execution efficiency, and framework stability.

Participate in code reviews and maintain automation best practices.

Required Skills

Mandatory

Strong programming experience in Python.

Hands-on experience with API Testing.

Experience in CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance.

Working knowledge of GitLab CI/CD.

Experience with Docker.

Experience in developing and enhancing Automation Frameworks.

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.

Preferred

Experience with Robot Framework.

Programming knowledge in C and C++.

Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Exposure to Linux environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years (or as required) of experience in Automation Testing.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
