Automation Technician

We are currently seeking a Automation Technician for one of our manufacturing clients located near Hamilton, ON.

Pay - Up to $35/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Set up machines and tooling according to production requirements.
• Perform machine changeovers and adjustments.
• Ensure dies and tooling are properly aligned and secured.
• Assist operators with machine settings and adjustments.
• Support machine trials and new program testing.
• Troubleshoot machine and tooling issues.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning.
• Inspect parts to ensure quality and specifications are met.
• Monitor tooling wear and report repair or replacement needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized tooling and work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain basic setup, maintenance, and production records.

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of machine setup or operating experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in metalworking, stamping, or transformer manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience with Georg software is an asset.
• Knowledge of die setting, press operation, and tooling maintenance.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
