Responsibilities Drive the requirements, development, qualification, and deployment of factory automation capabilities for process, metrology, and material handling system equipment in Assembly factories. Analyze hardware and software components and solve problems within the dynamics of an operating factory. Conduct technical capability gap analysis based on business drivers, product requirements, solution options analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and cost analysis.
Manage solution development and deployment through the Software Product Life Cycle. Engage with partner organizations to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine development priorities. Communicate priorities and status to stakeholders.
Interact with suppliers as needed; provide travel when required, noting that it is rare. Proliferate, configure, and maintain software on the production floor. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s of Science with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years or Ph.D. with 1+ year in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a STEM-related field. 3+ years of experience managing software development projects or other engineering disciplines.
Working knowledge of software engineering practices and testing methodologies. Experience with Windows operating systems, XML/JSON configuration files, log files, diagnostic tools, and software versioning. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in factory automation and control systems (e.g., MES, Shop Floor Control).
Operational and engineering analysis databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server). Semiconductor equipment automation/equipment integration. familiarity with SEMI Equipment Automation Standards (E5, E30, E40, E94, E90, etc.).
