Role: Automation Engineer

Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)

Contract Duration: 6 months + extendable

Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location: Hybrid - Hyderabad - Wed/Thursday in office

We are seeking a mid-level Automation Engineer / SDET with strong hands-on experience in Linux, Shell scripting, Java or Python, and test automation. The ideal candidate will build and maintain automated test suites for UI, backend services, APIs, databases, batch jobs, and cloud resources.

The role requires strong automation skills along with experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, AWS, and API testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test suites using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
• Automate UI, backend, API, batch job, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Write and maintain Shell scripts in Linux environments.
• Use Java or Python for automation development.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Validate APIs, databases, AWS resources, and application workflows.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Track defects and test execution using Jira/TestRail.
• Participate in code reviews and improve automation frameworks and testing processes.

Must-Haves

• 4+ years Java or Python.
• Strong Shell scripting.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Playwright, Selenium, or comparable automation framework.
• API testing.
• CI/CD + Jenkins.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• QA automation/SDET experience.
