Job Description
We are looking for a SeniorPLC & Automation Engineer with 5+ years of experience in automation and control systems to join our Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) Engineering team. You’ll work on custom water technology projects, developing PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting commissioning activities across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for various water technology systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams and participate in client meetings to ensure technical alignment and quality deliverables.
- Read and interpret engineering documentation including P&IDs, electrical schematics, I/O lists, and network architectures.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, project scope, budget, and timelines.
- Troubleshoot control systems and support network design and commissioning both remotely and on-site.
- Maintain and improve standardized process control documentation and automation best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent (Electrical, Automation, or related field).
- More than 5 years of experience as an Automation or PLC Engineer.
- Proven experience with Rockwell orSchneider PLC systems.
- Experience with Siemens or Emerson automation platforms is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of control systems, network design, and VFDs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in Canada is preferred.
- Availability to travel to the US.
- Programmingownership. Candidates must have personallydesigned:
- Panel schematics
- Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- I/O Lists
- Loop drawings
Expected Compensation Range
50K-115K The final compensation offered will be determined based on the candidate’s level of experience, skills, and qualifications, in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.
Canadian Experience Requirement
No Canadian work experience is required for this position. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of previous Canadian experience.
