Audit Manager Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and deliver high-quality audit engagements across our client portfolio. The Audit Manager will be responsible for planning and executing financial statement audits, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements, supervising and developing audit teams, and serving as the primary client contact for audit matters. This role combines technical accounting expertise, strong project management, and client relationship skills to drive timely, accurate, and value-added audit services.

Key Responsibilities Plan, execute, and deliver financial statement audits in accordance with professional standards and firm methodology. Lead fieldwork and remote audit teams, assigning tasks, reviewing workpapers, and ensuring quality control throughout the engagement lifecycle. Ensure audits are performed in compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

Evaluate accounting systems, internal controls, and risk exposures; develop recommendations to improve controls and financial reporting processes. Prepare and review audit reports, management letters, and financial statement disclosures; communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior leadership. Serve as the primary client contact during audits, building strong relationships, addressing client questions, and managing expectations and timelines.

Manage engagement budgets, schedules, staffing, and deliverables to ensure profitable and timely completion of engagements. Coach, mentor, and develop staff through feedback, training, and performance evaluations to build a high-performing audit team. Collaborate with tax, advisory, and other practice groups to provide integrated services and identify opportunities for additional client support.

Stay current on changes in accounting and auditing standards, industry trends, and best practices; implement process improvements and technical updates across engagements. Qualifications Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - required. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA-equivalent coursework preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive public accounting audit experience; experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff. Proven experience managing audit engagements, including planning, risk assessment, testing, and reporting. Strong knowledge of auditing standards (AICPA/GAAS), internal control frameworks, and financial reporting requirements.

Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) - preferred. Prior experience in an Audit Manager or senior audit leadership role - preferred. Excellent technical accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality assurance.

Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex accounting and audit issues clearly to clients and stakeholders. Proficiency with audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office suite; experience with enterprise ERPs is a plus.
