Associate Manager

Are you interested in expanding the scope of your Insurance knowledge and capabilities in a role which will provide you with exposure to the whole range of underwriting and claims functions of regulated Insurance and Reinsurance companies?

If so, you may be interested in working as part of Aon's specialist Captive Management team.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both from our Dublin office.

What the day will look like

As an Insurance Associate Manager, you will work as part of the Aon Captive Management team to deliver top quality service to our client captive insurance and reinsurance companies.

The Insurance Associate Manager will carry out the duties of the underwriting and claims functions for a number of our client captive insurance and reinsurance companies including the following breadth of tasks:

  • Communicate with and demonstrate a technical ability to clients in the delivery of the services required for each client
  • Be responsible for the insurance and claims functions of a portfolio of captive insurance and reinsurance companies
  • Ensure that all clients’ insurance and claims activities are performed efficiently, effectively and accurately and that all deadlines are met
  • Attend and present at the captive insurance company Board Meetings
  • Run the insurance premium cycle from invoicing and receipt
  • Collaborate with third‑party service providers, including loss adjusters, brokers, auditors, and actuaries

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • 2 years’ experience of any of the following Insurance Company management, Captive Insurance Company Management, insurance broking, insurance underwriting, claims management or corporate insurance management
  • Understand the regulatory and compliance environment which governs Insurance and Reinsurance companies
  • Have excellent organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with clients and stakeholders
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, colleagues and third‑party providers
