Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities Test, troubleshoot, and repair failed units from production, field returns, or customers. Find root cause/corrective action on failed units. Make redesign suggestions and characterize new product performance.
Analyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems and products. Generate various documentation, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports. Build or support the build of prototypes and samples of power supplies, multipliers and other assemblies as needed.
Attend status meetings to discuss priorities and progress toward meeting a given timeline. Train other technicians on proper repair and testing processes. Required Skills and Experience A self-starter that works on tasks which are complex in nature and uses sound judgement to resolve problems and make recommendations.
Strong knowledge of Electronics Theory and Telecommunications. Ability to plan work sequence for repair and identify tools and testing instruments necessary for completion. Ability to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications.
Strong organizational and follow‑up skills. Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. The ability to manage multiple tasks.
Educational Requirements B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 1–2 years experience in Test Engineering. CTDI welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
