Location: Flexible / Remote / Hybrid (No Location Constraints) Experience: 8+ Years Team Size: 5–6 Engineers Compensation: Highly Competitive / Best-in-Industry for the Right Candidate Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Associate Director – Engineering to lead the design, architecture, development, and delivery of a Utility Prepaid Billing Platform serving electricity utilities. This is a player-coach role requiring active participation in solution architecture, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, customer discussions, and product roadmap execution. The ideal candidate has direct experience designing and developing utility prepaid billing solutions and strong expertise in Python, Kafka, ETL, APIs, Apache Airflow, TimescaleDB/PostgreSQL, Cloud Platforms, and Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities • Own the technical vision and architecture of the prepaid billing platform. • Lead design and development of scalable, resilient utility billing solutions. • Work closely with business stakeholders, utility customers, and product teams. • Design application architecture, integration patterns, and deployment models. • Develop critical platform components and services. • Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews. • Resolve complex technical and performance issues. • Mentor and lead a team of 5–6 engineers. • Participate in customer workshops and technical solution discussions.
