Assistant Store Manager Sales - House of Sport

Assistant Store Manager of Sales Location: Gilbert, AZ – House of Sport store, Santan Village. Overview We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager of Sales to lead and support store operations, develop a high‑performing team, and drive sales performance. Responsibilities Partner with leadership to develop targeted hiring strategies and recruit a diverse team.

Manage performance, discipline, and appraisals following standard procedures. Oversee day‑to‑day operations of Apparel, Footwear, and Hardlines departments; support other areas as Head Coach or MOD. Provide coaching and development through one‑on‑one conversations, training workshops, and role‑play exercises.

Implement training initiatives and ensure employee engagement. Analyze sales and operational data (e.g., Medallia, Peak Weeks) to identify trends and inform strategy. Build effective schedules using the workload planner and budget tools.

Drive store financial performance: sales, expenses, P&L categories, and ROI. Maintain visual standards and perform in‑store audits. Plan and execute seasonal product launches and in‑store events.

Recruit community involvement, host events, and support volunteer opportunities. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of retail management or customer‑focused experience. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
