Overview Assistant Professor-in-Residence, Department of Computer Science, College of Engineering (R0150748) University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) — Las Vegas, NV — Full-time position starting Fall 2026. Salary is negotiable and location is Las Vegas. Role The Department of Computer Science at UNLV invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor–In-Residence position within the Howard R.
Hughes College of Engineering. The Department is one of the fastest growing at UNLV. Responsibilities Teaching, advising and mentoring students Course development and engagement in service activities at the department, college, university, and community levels Advising undergraduate students and participating in the development of courses and curriculum Project/lab supervision and management Participation in shared governance and grant writing for education, interdisciplinary and teaching-focused grants Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Computer Science from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education and/or CHEA Experience teaching at an “R1 Doctoral University – Very High Research Activity” institution Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching courses in Programming Languages and Compiler Construction Commitment to Diversity and Campus Values A successful candidate will support diversity, equity, and inclusiveness and contribute to a respectful, positive work environment.
