Assistant Performance Analyst Job Ref: 407-CORP-7982836 Location: Walsall Manor Hospital, Town Walsall Salary: £28,392 – £31,157 per annum (Yearly) Hours: 37.5 per week (Full time, mostly home working; may attend meetings on site) Contract: 12 months fixed term, Band 4 Job Overview Assist the Performance & Information Team to collect, analyse and report NHS performance data, support the creation of dashboards and strategic analysis to ensure contractual KPIs are met and continuous improvement. Main duties Support the team to ensure all commissioner/contract KPI deadlines are met and prevent organisational penalties. Provide timely performance data reporting, including dashboards, to committees.
Develop and deliver a robust performance management and accountability framework. Benchmark analysis to support performance improvement, translating findings into actionable reports. Use software such as Excel, SQL and Power BI to produce user‑friendly, meaningful information.
Maintain relationships with operational and corporate support teams as point of contact for performance queries. Coordinate monthly performance reports and liaise with other teams. Ensure GDPR compliance and secure handling of sensitive data.
Provide day‑to‑day supervision and training to junior direct reports. Deal with sensitive and confidential information in a traditional capacity. Represent the Performance & Information team positively within the organisation.
Other duties as required by business needs. Qualifications Degree level education (or equivalent level of knowledge). Experience in data manipulation and analysis, preferably in a health care setting.
Experience using multiple information systems and creating statistical reports. Knowledge of SQL (experience preferred). Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to interpret analysis results, provide recommendations and train colleagues. Analytical, organisational and time‑management skills, able to meet tight deadlines. Benefits Salary sacrifice scheme; car leasing scheme.
