Job Description

Overview Support the Restaurant and Team in daily operations to ensure efficient, profitable service and a superior guest experience. Key Responsibilities Supervise front- and back-of-house staff; assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching. Oversee service quality, food presentation, and consistency with brand standards.

Ensure excellent guest service: handle complaints, resolve issues, and follow up to guarantee satisfaction. Manage opening/closing procedures and daily cash handling; reconcile tills and deposits. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and control food, beverage, and labor costs.

Enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards; maintain compliance with local regulations and licensing. Coordinate with kitchen and bar to optimize flow and timing during service. Assist with weekly/monthly reporting (sales, labor, waste, inventory) and support budget targets.

Implement promotions, upselling initiatives, and community outreach as needed. Step in to perform operational duties (host, server, bartender, expeditor) during busy periods or staffing shortages. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; culinary or hospitality certificate preferred. 2+ years supervisory experience in restaurants or hospitality; prior assistant manager experience a plus.

Knowledge of POS systems, scheduling tools, and inventory management. Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) and any required local permits. Skills & Attributes Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail and quality. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in fast-paced environments. Basic math and financial literacy for cash handling and cost control.

Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Working Conditions Fast-paced restaurant environment; physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to ~50 lbs. Typical shifts include evenings and weekends and holidays; schedule varies by business needs.
