Assistant Manager Finance

Job Title: Asst. Manager/ Manager Experience: 3 – 6 years Location: Kolkata Job Description: Accounting & Financial Operations Manage day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations Handle accounts payable and receivable processes Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closures Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standard sand company policies Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes (internal& statutory) Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, TDS, etc. Financial Reporting Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports Monitor key financial metrics and highlight variances Support budgeting and forecasting processes Assist in preparation of MIS reports for leadership review Financial Analysis Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities Support business teams with cost analysis and profitability insights Prepare variance analysis (budget vs actuals) with actionable commentary Contribute to financial planning and strategic decision-making Process & Controls Strengthen financial controls and ensure adherence to policies Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation Maintain proper documentation and audit trails Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools Analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to interpret data and provide business insights Good communication and stakeholder management skills High level of integrity and ownership Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA (Finance)preferred 5-9 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance roles Experience in consulting, services, or mid-sized organizations preferred Someone who goes beyond bookkeeping to understand the story behind numbers Ability to balance operational discipline with analytical thinking A proactive mindset with willingness to learn and improve processes
