Assistant Manager โ EBU Location : GIFT City, Gandhinagar Work Timings: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM Work Model : Full-Time, Work from Office Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager to oversee financial reviews, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and verify the accuracy of bookkeeping records. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor team members while driving process improvements and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Development Groom and mentor team members through structured development plans.
Identify skill gaps and provide training and guidance to enhance team performance. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. People Management Effectively manage and lead a team of 3โ5 professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Support employee engagement and professional growth initiatives. Financial Review & Compliance Review bookkeeping records and financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Verify accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reports. Identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution. Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement Recommend and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy. Establish quality control measures and best practices across the team. Stakeholder Collaboration Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Independently manage responsibilities while contributing effectively within a team environment. Qualification & Experience Educational Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce. MBA in Finance & Accounting.
Professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or CA/CMA Inter (not pursuing further studies) are also acceptable. Experience Minimum 3โ4 years of experience in Australian bookkeeping, accounting review, or financial review functions. Prior experience managing a team of 3โ5 members is mandatory.
Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and accounting regulations. Experience with: Business Activity Statements (BAS), Goods and Services Tax (GST), Australian Payroll Regulations, Australian Taxation Office (ATO) compliance requirements Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks Strong understanding of financial reporting, reconciliations, and bookkeeping processes. Required Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
