Manages a team of 7 that is responsible for caring for and maintaining the entire facility and overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also, directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.Key ResponsibilitiesLeverages technical knowledge to make informed decisions, allocate resources, and support team performance and developmentCreates and implements preventative maintenance programs and building support systemsManages the maintenance and repair of all necessary facility functions and provides expertise in all new construction or renovations projectsLeads improvement initiatives across the department, aligning them with company goals and ensuring employee involvementEngages with Shop and Operations leadership in the development and implementation of strategic and tactical initiativesAnticipates problems across workflows or teams and implements preventative measures that align with prioritiesWorks with both internal and external resources to maintain and repair all necessary facility functionsInterprets data, trends, and feedback to guide departmental planning, anticipating potential risks or challengesWorks alongside the Facilities Manager to manage the team's operation and assists with budget performanceSeeks feedback from senior leaders and team to enhance effectiveness; invests in own growth while supporting development plans for direct reportsLeads with integrity and self-discipline; demonstrates professionalism through sound judgement, consistent follow-through, and ethical decision-making in complex situationsMaintains attention to detail, sets expectations for quality and ensures follow-through, and establishes processes/resources that support consistencyPrepares, analyzes, and reports on regularly tracked metrics, performance, goals, and objectivesThinks ahead, anticipates needs, balances competing demands, and maintains strong personal organization under pressureCoordinates all service-related activities for the facility including contract review, equipment maintenance, groundskeeping, etc.Ensures all code and license requirements are properly maintained, and maintains all building blueprints, records, and manuals for the facilityAligns team efforts and organizational objectives and creates an environment where employees have the resources and support needed to perform effectivelyManages staff resources and organization structure to adequately align with and meet business objectivesOptimizes team structure, tools, and workflows to support efficient performance, and addresses root causes of inefficiencyManages Facilities team in a timely and efficient manner that best serves internal and external customersCoordinates project management activities including repair, remodel, and maintenance projectsSets clear targets, tracks progress, and takes proactive steps to achieve business outcomesBuilds processes and expectations that consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, and addresses systemic service issuesExperience working in a manufacturing or related environmentBachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or related field preferredExperience working in EHS preferred5 - 10 years' proven experience working in building maintenance and managementMust have HVAC experienceStrong Smalley product, application, and industry knowledgeExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have strong interpersonal skills, ability to inspire, motivate and lead peopleExtreme attention to detail, superior organizational, time management, & prioritizing abilitiesStrong and confident judgment and problem-solving skills; ability to take risks and make decisionsSkilled in using Microsoft Office noting ExcelKnowledge and experience in building maintenance procedures, contract agreements, and security and safety needs of a manufacturing companyAbility to work with numbers as they pertain to contracts, maintenance agreements, inventory and project management with a basic understanding of accounting conceptsAbility to be on-callApply today and discover the opportunities that await you!A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $105,000 USD.

Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
