Job Description


The Assistant Accountant will play a key role in supporting day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Key responsibilities include:



  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

  • Supporting payroll processing and banking activities

  • Preparing general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes

  • Preparing journals, financial reports, and supporting documentation

  • Supporting statutory reporting and compliance requirements

  • Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies and payment issues

  • Assisting with audit preparation and continuous process improvements

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and internal controls

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support finance operations


The Successful Applicant


To be successful in this role, you will possess:



  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline

  • Minimum 1 year of experience within an accounting or finance role

  • Hands-on experience across payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger functions

  • Strong knowledge of month-end accounting processes

  • Proficiency in MYOB and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team

  • Mandarin language skills will be advantageous
