At Keighley College, you'll help shape the next generation of skilled electricians while working in a supportive, ambitious, and learner-focused environment. As a Teacher/Assessor in Electrical Apprenticeships, you'll share your industry expertise through inspiring training, workplace assessment, and one-to-one coaching, helping apprentices develop the skills and confidence needed for successful careers in the electrical industry.

This role is part time 22.5 hours per week and fixed term for 6 months.

The pro rata salary commencesat 19,408 with progression to 21,838 per annum

What You Will Do

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality training to Electrical Apprentices, both in the classroom and in the workplace.
  • Assess apprentices' skills, knowledge and behaviours, providing coaching and feedback that supports their success.
  • Manage a caseload of learners, helping them stay on track and achieve their apprenticeship goals.
  • Build strong relationships with employers, ensuring training meets both learner and business needs.
  • Monitor progress, conduct regular reviews, and celebrate achievements as apprentices develop their careers.
  • Support recruitment, enrolment and onboarding activities to help attract and retain future talent in the electrical sector.
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence by maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and learner experience.

About You

  • You're an experienced electrician who takes pride in your trade and enjoys helping others develop. You may already have experience in teaching or assessing, or you could be looking for a new challenge where you can use your industry expertise to inspire the next generation.
  • You'll be confident building relationships with learners and employers, passionate about high-quality training, and motivated by seeing apprentices achieve their goals and progress in their careers.
