Job Description Title: Area Sales Manager – FMCG / General Trade (Field Sales) Location: West Bengal ( Kolkata, Barrackpore, Barasat, Howrah, Serampore, Chandannagar, Baruipur, Baranagar, Madhyamgram, Dumdum, Naihati ) Job Type: Full-Time | Field Sales Industry: FMCG / General Trade / Field Sales/B2C Sales Summary: The Area Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales performance, expanding market presence, and leading a team of Market Growth Representatives (MGRs) across key cities in West Bengal. This field-based leadership position is critical to achieving primary and secondary sales targets, ensuring strong retailer relationships, and maintaining optimal in-store execution. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in FMCG and general trade sales, a strong track record in team leadership, and the ability to thrive in a high-velocity, travel-intensive environment.
Success in this role directly impacts market share growth, brand visibility, and operational efficiency across the region. Responsibilities: Achieve daily and weekly primary and secondary sales targets consistently Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Market Growth Representatives (MGRs) to maximize field performance Identify and open new retail outlets to expand distribution coverage Maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing retailers and distributors Ensure consistent in-store visibility through effective merchandising and display execution. Monitor and manage company assets including coolers, POS materials, and promotional items.
Oversee outlet-level discounts, credit approvals, and claims processing Provide regular field reports and performance insights to regional leadership.
