The Team: About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our eCommerce development team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing web-based commerce platforms to ensure performance, usability, and reliability across browsers and devices. You’ll leverage SmartBear test tools (e.g., TestComplete , SoapUI , LoadNinja , BitBar ) and other automated/manual testing methods to identify issues before they reach our customers.

If you're passionate about delivering high-quality digital experiences and have hands-on experience testing Shopify, Magento, or other eCommerce platforms, we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for eCommerce websites and APIs. Use SmartBear tools such as TestComplete, SoapUI, and LoadNinja to perform UI, functional, performance, and API testing.

Collaborate with developers, designers, product managers, and DevOps to identify defects, reproduce bugs, and validate fixes. Conduct cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing. Ensure that web pages comply with performance, usability, and accessibility standards.

Maintain and improve test plans, test cases, and automation scripts. Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and standards Required Qualifications 2–5 years of hands-on QA experience, preferably in eCommerce or web application testing .

Experience using SmartBear test tools (TestComplete, SoapUI, LoadNinja, BitBar). Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful APIs. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA , QAComplete , or Zephyr .

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (functional, regression, performance, smoke testing). Solid knowledge of cross-browser and responsive testing best practices. Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience testing Shopify , Magento , or other major eCommerce platforms. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VBScript) for test automation. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.

Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and QA's role within the SDLC. Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and tools (e.g., Axe, Wave). Don’t meet every single requirement?
