AI Prompt Engineer + Backend Engineer

NeuroDrift is a US-based AI voice and enterprise software company. We build real-time voice AI agents and conversational platforms (CallDash) that run live for enterprise customers across sales, support, and customer engagement — production call traffic and chat conversations every day. We're looking for a reliable Prompt Engineer who can also ship backend API integrations and own client conversations end to end.

This is a hybrid role — not prompt-only, not backend-only. What you'll do • Design prompts that take LLMs from \"demo-quality\" to \"production-quality\" — eval, refine, ship • Build and maintain backend API integrations (CRMs, telephony, third-party services) • Talk directly with clients on Zoom — discovery, scope clarification, technical walkthroughs • Take part in client meetings — present your approach and defend your technical decisions What we need (2–4 years experience) • Hands-on with LLMs (OpenAI / Anthropic / Gemini) — prompt design, eval, conversation logic • Backend skills: Node.js or Python, REST APIs, webhooks, integration patterns • Voice AI stack experience — LiveKit, Retell, Vapi, or Twilio • Enterprise CRM integrations — HubSpot, Salesforce, or comparable • Excellent written and spoken English — daily calls with US / UK / AU clients The setup • Fully remote — work from anywhere • Full-time contractor • Compensation: competitive, based on experience • Direct reporting to the founding team • Real ownership.
