AI/ML Engineer (Hiring Immediately)

Job Title: AI/ML Engineer Location: Remote (U.S.-based) Employment Type: 12 month contract Rate: low triple digits hourly USD Reports To: CTO About the role We're hiring an AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy intelligent systems that solve real business problems — not research projects. You'll work directly on production systems, own full model lifecycles, and integrate AI capabilities into our platforms. We expect systems thinking, not just model tuning.

What you'll own Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy ML/AI models into production environments Build and maintain LLM-powered pipelines including RAG, agents, and tool-use architectures Develop and operationalize data pipelines supporting model training and inference Integrate AI functionality with existing APIs, SaaS platforms, and internal tools Instrument models for observability — latency, drift, accuracy, and cost Collaborate with product and engineering to translate business requirements into model specs Write clean, documented, production-grade code — not just notebooks Required 3+ years ML/AI engineering in production Python (fluent) — PyTorch or TensorFlow LLM integration: OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source (Llama, Mistral) REST API design and consumption MLOps fundamentals: versioning, CI/CD for models, monitoring Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, or similar) Git-based workflow with strong code review habits Strong plus LangChain, LlamaIndex, or custom agent frameworks Cloud ML: AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI, or Azure ML Fine-tuning: LoRA, QLoRA, RLHF pipelines Data engineering: Spark, Airflow, dbt Evaluation frameworks (RAGAS, LangSmith, custom evals) Experience in recruiting tech, HR tech, or B2B SaaS Who you are You ship to production — not just to notebooks or staging You think in systems: incentives, feedback loops, failure modes You raise problems early and with proposed solutions You're direct, own your decisions, and don't require hand-holding Remote-first mindset — async communication, high written clarity, proactive updates Compensation & benefits Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience 100% remote — work from anywhere, certain aspect require U.S. Based location Flexible hours with async-first culture Direct access to leadership — no bureaucracy, high ownership Opportunity to shape AI strategy at a high-growth recruiting platform #J-18808-Ljbffr
