You'll be at the forefront of pushing the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence, particularly in the realm of autonomous and agentic systems. As part of our AI engineering team, you'll have a significant impact by designing and deploying advanced AI agents that integrate seamlessly with business operations, transforming data into insights, actions, and measurable outcomes.
You'll collaborate with a talented team of AI researchers, engineers, and data scientists, tackling some of the toughest challenges in AI and enterprise software, including scalable multi‑agent coordination and advanced LLM applications. You’ll be part of a united team delivering high‑quality, essential, and highly visible AI/ML functionalities within the Teradata Cloud platform. Your insights will significantly influence the direction of our intelligent data solutions. You will report directly to a supportive Sr.
Manager, Software Engineering, who is committed to fostering your growth and valuing your contributions. What Makes You Stand Out Experience with data platforms such as Teradata, Snowflake, and Databricks. A passion for keeping up with AI research, particularly in reasoning, planning, and autonomous systems.
An excellent full stack engineer with hands‑on coding experience and end‑to‑end system ownership. Ability to create intuitive UI featuring user‑friendly natural language interfaces (e.g., chatbots, AI assistants) that allow seamless interaction with the data platform. A strong engineering foundation (Python/Java/Golang, API integration, backend frameworks).
Solid system design skills and a deep understanding of distributed systems. A commitment to reliability and debug‑ability, ensuring AI systems behave predictably when necessary. Hands‑on experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit‑learn.
Familiarity with LLMs, agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGPT, ReAct), and orchestration tools. Experience implementing AI observability practices (e.g., logging, monitoring, metrics) for AI agents or ML models. A good grasp of model performance monitoring and responsible AI principles.
Your Educational Background and Skills A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field is essential. Enthusiasm for AI and large language models (LLMs) is a notable advantage. Proficiency in UI/UX Development with JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, Angular) and CSS libraries (Bootstrap, Material‑UI).
Capability to design, develop, and deploy integrated agentic systems within the data platform. 3+ years of experience in software architecture, backend systems, or AI infrastructure. Strong knowledge of LLMs, reinforcement learning, or cognitive architectures is highly sought after. A passion for creating safe, human‑aligned autonomous systems.
Experience in software development, preferably in Python, Go, or Java. Familiarity with backend service development, APIs, and distributed systems. Interest or experience with LLMs, autonomous agents, or AI tools.
Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with AI observability practices (e.g., logging, monitoring metrics) specific to AI agents or ML models. Skills to build dashboards and metrics pipelines for monitoring key AI system indicators such as latency, accuracy, and failure modes.
Ability to integrate observability tools with LLM‑based workflows and agent pipelines. Bonus: Research experience or contributions to open‑source frameworks. Strong knowledge of open‑source tools and a creative approach to using them to build innovative solutions.
