AI-First Senior Engineer - Software Engineer

AI-First Senior Engineer – Software Engineer AI-First Senior Engineer is a highly skilled, hands‑on engineer responsible for designing, building, modernizing, and supporting systems where AI is embedded directly into the engineering and operational lifecycle. This role operates within an AI‑augmented POD model, leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery while maintaining accountability for code quality, system stability, and production outcomes. Location This is a hybrid role based across multiple cities – Atlanta, Chicago, Nashville, Dallas, New Jersey.

Responsibilities Work autonomously on complex engineering tasks, contribute to continuous system learning, and support a human‑on‑the‑loop operating model where AI executes within defined guardrails. Use AI tools across backlog refinement, coding, refactoring, testing, and diagnostics. Apply human judgment to validate or override AI recommendations.

Provide feedback to improve AI accuracy and usefulness. Qualifications 6+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience. Strong skills in modern programming languages and cloud‑native development.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Production support experience. Experience in telecom, network systems, or large‑scale enterprises.

Exposure to modernization, SRE, or platform engineering practices. Familiarity with regulated or security‑first environments. Autonomous engineer delivering complex AI‑augmented systems.

Complex development, modernization, Tier‑3 support. Compensation The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911 – $161,544. Benefits Paid time off based on employee grade (A‑F): Vacation 12‑25 days, company paid holidays, personal days, sick leave.
