Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Agricultural Engineer to join our close knit team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems. With practical experience in fault finding and repairs of agricultural equipment, and mobile machinery with hydraulic systems, and used to working with a variety of machinery.
Responsibilities
Occasional fabrication, welding, and assembly of mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams to facilitate repairs and modifications. Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery such as tractors, excavators, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Repair of some electrical systems and components Bespoke hydraulic system design and installation Conduct inspections to identify potential issues Liaising with customers advising on repairs of their equipment Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and telehandlers safely within designated work areas. Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance activities
Experience
Proven experience in mechanical engineering within an agricultural or industrial setting. Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and electrical diagrams. Hands-on experience with equipment repair including heavy machinery such as tractors, and telehandlers. Knowledge of hydraulic systems, mechanical components, and general maintenance procedures. Customer service experience is advantageous for providing technical support to clients or team members.
For the successful candidate, a vehicle is provided. Overtime available paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
