After-School STEM Instructor

Young Engineers Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown is looking for a part-time instructor to support our after-school STEM and engineering programmes for children aged 6-12.

This role is ideal for a teacher, substitute teacher, SNA, student teacher, or education professional who enjoys hands-on learning and working with children.

We are especially interested in candidates who are:

• Preferably registered with the Teaching Council
• Available for after-school hours, especially between 1pm and 4pm
• Confident working with primary-school children
• Reliable, patient, and comfortable leading small groups
• Interested in STEM, engineering, LEGO-style building, robotics, or hands-on education
• Preferably has access to their own vehicle, as class materials and building kits may need to be transported between venues

The programme uses structured lesson plans and building kits. Full training and materials are provided, so an engineering background is not required.

Immediate availability is a strong advantage, as we have classes starting soon in the Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown area.
