Are you passionate about aviation and technology? Do you enjoy connecting complex airline operations with innovative IT solutions? We are looking for an Aeronautical Engineer / Requirements Engineer who will bridge the gap between aviation experts, business stakeholders, and software development teams.
In this role, you will analyze customer needs, aviation regulations, and real-world operational scenarios to design, document, and improve software solutions supporting flight briefing, flight planning, and cockpit workflows within our main product, Lido Flight 4D.

You will work closely with international customers, product owners, developers, testers, and aviation specialists to deliver solutions that support modern airline operations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, document, and refine functional and non-functional requirements, translating complex business and operational needs into clear specifications for development and testing teams.
  • Analyze airline operational scenarios, flight planning processes, safety requirements, and aviation regulations to support the design of effective software solutions.
  • Act as a functional expert for international customers, participating in workshops, solution validation sessions, and discussions focused on understanding and improving user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with software developers, testers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
  • Analyze customer requests, support tickets, and functional inquiries by investigating root causes, evaluating possible solutions, and providing expert feedback.
  • Prepare clear documentation for bugs, improvements, and feature requests to support effective communication with development teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of products, processes, and ways of working.
  • Support solution design, implementation, and validation to ensure alignment with user expectations.

Who are you?

Our requirements:

  • Practical understanding of airline operations, flight planning, or cockpit workflows gained through academic background or professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Engineering, airline operations, or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify anomalies, structure complex problems, and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer is an advantage, or strong motivation to develop in this direction within IT projects.
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, understand complex systems, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong self-management skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating with international teams.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with a proactive and collaborative communication style (B2+) .
  • Readiness to work in a hybrid model - 2 days in the office in Gdańsk.
  • Willingness to participate in occasional business trips and international customer workshops.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with modern Business Analysis practices, product discovery frameworks, requirements visualization, and structured documentation management.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar collaboration and documentation platforms.
  • Interest in leveraging AI-powered assistants and modern tools to improve analysis, documentation, and decision-making processes.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages and the ability to read or analyze application code.
  • Understanding of software testing concepts and optimization algorithms.
