Job Description

As a data engineering advisor, you help develop solutions for collecting, integrating, consolidating, cleaning, storing and transparently mining data. You help develop, maintain, support and run computer applications and data pipelines, while ensuring functional analysis, IT design, coding, fine‑tuning and documentation of programs. You help diagnose problems, build and develop data mining systems, roll out systems for business activities, and operationalize data mining solutions in response to identified client and partner needs.

You help stakeholders use data management systems and collaborate with other fields to identify business needs and ensure alignment with the proposed solutions. Responsibilities Design and build medium‑scale data collection systems and platforms Develop data pipelines, and integrate, transform and consolidate data from different systems in structures that are adapted to the context Implement, monitor and maintain systems that meet business needs Use various script languages and tools for storing and producing sets of data Develop algorithms, prototypes and proofs of concept within moderately complex projects Identify opportunities to improve systems and help develop data management services Update IT solutions documentation and help prepare and deliver training for peers and users Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field A minimum of two years of relevant experience (other combinations of qualifications and experience may be considered) Knowledge of French is required Advantages Market-competitive salary and annual bonus 4 weeks of adaptable vacation starting in the first year Defined benefit pension plan that provides predictable, stable income throughout retirement Group insurance including telemedicine Reimbursement of health and wellness expenses and telework equipment Action oriented, Business insight, Customer Focus, Differences, Interpersonal Savvy, Nimble learning At Desjardins, we believe in equity, diversity and inclusion.
