Location & Working Arrangement
EURELITE is currently building its global engineering presence. The company's Paris office is expected to open in 2027. Until then, international candidates joining for on-site positions will initially work as part of our Beijing-based China engineering team during the first year.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Advanced Nuclear Fuel Engineer to join our reactor development team and contribute to the design, analysis, and development of advanced nuclear fuel systems.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) technology, focusing on advanced fuel assembly development, TRISO coated particle fuel analysis, fuel performance modeling, and fuel management strategy research.
The successful candidate will apply nuclear fuel engineering principles, materials science, simulation methods, and data-driven engineering approaches to support next-generation nuclear reactor development.
You will collaborate closely with reactor physics, thermal-hydraulics, materials, structural, and system engineering teams to support integrated reactor design, fuel qualification, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and engineering analysis on advanced nuclear fuel systems, including:
- Fuel assembly performance evaluation
- Fuel material behavior analysis
- Coated particle fuel (e.g., TRISO fuel) performance assessment
- Fuel performance optimization
- Perform fuel behavior modeling and simulation using engineering analysis tools to evaluate:
- Fuel temperature distribution
- Material performance
- Irradiation behavior
- Fuel integrity and operational characteristics
- Participate in advanced fuel design and fuel management strategy development, including fuel cycle optimization and reactor fuel performance improvement.
- Analyze experimental and simulation data to support:
- Fuel performance validation
- Model development
- Engineering decision-making
- Track global developments and technical trends in:
- Advanced nuclear fuels
- TRISO fuel technology
- Generation IV reactor fuel systems
- Advanced reactor applications
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to define fuel-related parameters, support design iterations, and optimize reactor performance.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, analysis reports, and design review materials.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master's degree or above in:
- Nuclear Engineering
- Nuclear Fuel Engineering
- Materials Science & Engineering
- Nuclear Materials
- Related technical disciplines
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of nuclear fuel behavior, fuel performance analysis, and nuclear materials engineering.
- Knowledge of advanced nuclear fuel technologies, including coated particle fuels such as TRISO fuel.
- Experience with fuel performance modeling, simulation methods, or engineering data analysis.
- Ability to analyze and interpret experimental data and simulation results.
- Understanding of fuel design, fuel qualification, fuel management, and reactor fuel lifecycle concepts is highly desirable.

- Strong analytical capability and rigorous engineering problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary nuclear engineering teams.
- Strong technical communication, documentation, and engineering reporting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be highly valued:
- Experience in advanced nuclear fuel development, fuel assembly design, or fuel performance analysis.
- Experience with TRISO fuel, coated particle fuel, ceramic fuel materials, or advanced fuel structures.
- Experience in Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR), Small Modular Reactor (SMR), or Generation IV nuclear reactor technologies.
- Experience in multi-physics modeling, coupled fuel performance simulations, or data-driven engineering approaches.
- Research experience or publications related to nuclear fuels, nuclear materials, fuel behavior modeling, or reactor technology development.
