Job Description
We are a medium-sized IT and engineering-based company located in Port Melbourne, looking for a technically-minded person with experience in administration and business analytics, with Service desk experience advantageous.
We undertake important work for state agencies to ensure oursystems maintain a high level of performance. A positive attitude andreliability are essential, as well as good organizational, documentation, quality management and data analytical abilities.
We offer a friendly, team-based environment with some ability for WFH (3 days a week in the office minimum). This role is perfectly suited to an individual who is able to think on their feet and perform tasks with strong attention to detail.
The duties of this role include:
- Adherence to documented processes and procedures
- Review and analyze daily traffic safety camera images and data feeds to ensure accuracy, clarity, and system alignment.
- Identify, flag, and investigate data discrepancies, equipment misalignments, or system errors affecting image captures.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly operational data reports to track camera performance, capture rates, and system uptime.
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including documentation filing, scheduling, and responding to internal/external inquiries.
- Ensure all analysed data and images are handled, stored, and archived in strict compliance with legal, privacy, and contractual requirements.
- Assist with tracking operational tickets, client correspondence, and coordinating meeting agendas/minutes.
- Evaluate current data verification workflows and propose actionable improvements to increase speed and accuracy.
- Create, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process maps for the operations team.
- Work closely with technical teams and field technicians to communicate data insights that can prevent hardware or software issues.
- Any other duties required to ensure effective and efficient delivery of the service desk in accordance with the SGA ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Ideally the candidate should have the following skills:
- Proven experience in a combined administrative and analytical role, preferably within the ITS industry.
- Experience in a role requiring high-volume data verification, image analysis, or quality control.
- Demonstrated experience writing SOPs or contributing to workflow optimization.
- High efficiency and attention to detail with strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced computer literacy, including G-suite products databases and log file analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize demands.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high quality of service.
- Work in a multi team environment with minimum supervision.
- Aptitude for learning new software applications.
The position offers a suitable salary packagein a friendly and comfortable working environment with a mix of office and WFH shifts. Training will be provided.
