Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

eCintel is seeking a dependable and proactive Accounts Receivable Specialist based in India. This is a full-time remote position supporting day-to-day accounts receivable and accounting operations for a U.S.-based business. The role is intentionally broad and trainable, but it requires someone who takes ownership, communicates honestly, investigates issues, and follows work through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and track customer invoices and payments

• Reconcile customer accounts, payment records, and outstanding balances

• Follow up professionally on past-due receivables

• Research discrepancies and document findings clearly

• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation

• Assist with routine accounting, reporting, and administrative tasks

• Identify problems early and propose practical solutions

• Communicate progress, questions, and exceptions promptly

• Learn company systems and procedures through structured training

Qualifications

• Two to four years of relevant accounts receivable or accounting experience

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• Clear written and spoken English

• Reliable internet access and ability to work independently

• Proactive, candid, organized, and willing to learn

• Comfortable working remotely with a U.S.-based team

• Available immediately or with a short notice period

Schedule

During the initial training period, the successful candidate must be available from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time for training and meetings. After training, required overlap will normally be 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, with the remaining hours arranged as appropriate for the role.

Compensation

Starting compensation is USD $700 per month. A formal performance and compensation review will be conducted after 90 days. Candidates who demonstrate strong ownership, accuracy, reliability, problem-solving, and the ability to manage the role independently may be considered for compensation up to USD $1,000 per month following that review.

Any increase is performance-based and is not automatic or guaranteed.
