Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Summary:

Allegria Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Port Jefferson, a leading provider of exceptional care to our residents, is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in Port Jefferson Station, and Woodbury NY. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and managing the financial transactions of the organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Process and pay vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner

• Reconcile and manage company credit card statements

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and files

• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies in a professional and courteous manner

• Collaborate with the finance team to identify and mitigate risks and improve financial processes

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements

• Participate in the development and implementation of financial procedures and policies

• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Finance Manager

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field

• High school diploma or equivalent required, associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Familiarity with accounting software and systems

• Familiarity with 1199 Union reports.

• Ability to structure time between 2 locations.
