Accounts Assistant

We're partnering with a successful multi-site organisation seeking an Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. This is a varied, hands-on role offering exposure across the full finance function, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to broaden their accounting experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Based in the Kilkenny/Tipperary region, the role will also involve regular travel to a second site in Cork (typically two days per week), with mileage fully reimbursed. The Role You'll gain experience across a broad range of finance responsibilities, including: Purchase ledger processing and supplier reconciliations Sales ledger and customer invoicing Credit control and debtor management Bank, credit card and account reconciliations Assisting with VAT returns and Revenue submissions Payroll administration support Month-end journals, accruals and prepayments Management accounts support Audit preparation and general finance administration About You We're looking for someone who has: 1-3 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role Experience with purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and pivot tables Experience using an accounting package such as Sage, Xero, SAP, Surf or similar Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business A full clean driving licence and access to your own transport Desirable: Accounting Technician qualification (or currently studying) Experience within a multi-site business Payroll experience Exposure to VAT returns and Revenue Online Service (ROS) What's on Offer?
