Accounting Manager / Finance Manager / Accounting Supervisor Location: Harrison, OH Accounting Manager / Finance Manager / Accounting Supervisor required in Harrison, OH, to support a growing industrial engineering organisation specialising in oil-free compressed air and vacuum systems. This role will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, supporting financial management, compliance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the business. This position plays a critical role in shaping accounting strategy while remaining hands‑on across core accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
With continued growth across the organisation, the accounting function is expanding to support a dynamic, multi‑site workforce. Compensation Circa $105,000 base salary Comprehensive medical, dental & vision benefits Responsibilities Lead and develop a small team of direct reports, including coaching, performance management, workload planning, and professional development. Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory accounting, and cost accounting activities.
Close month, quarter, and annual financial periods. Ensure timely preparation of various financial and managerial reports, highlighting important items for management. Coordinate between functional departments to derive a summarised annual financial plan and inter‑period financial forecasts.
Support internal and external audits by coordinating documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring the timely resolution of findings. Maintain and strengthen internal control environments and ensure compliance with company policies, SOX requirements, and corporate accounting standards. Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities through automation and system optimisation.
Requirements BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other comparable business degree required, with 5‑7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of accounting processes and the relationship between the income statement and balance sheet. Ability to operate in a growth‑oriented, dynamic environment while balancing operational needs with corporate reporting standards.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with employees across different departments and levels of the organisation. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills required. Experience with corporate reporting platforms a plus.
