Accounting Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and diligent accounting manager who will help support our clients and their businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing a portfolio of clients and projects and developing positive working relationships
• Review bookkeeping, compilation engagements, and tax returns prepared by team members
• Preparation of compilation engagements including financial statements and corporate tax returns
• Assistance with review, audit, and consulting engagements
• Review and preparation of GST, T4 and T5 information returns, and personal tax returns
• Oversight and review of payrollli>
• Mentoring, motivating, and training team members

• Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
• Strong critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Experience:

• Professional designation required (CPA, CA)
• Minimum five years public practice experience, preferably in a small or mid-sized firm
• Proficiency with software including Caseware, Profile, and Microsoft Office
• Familiar with QuickBooks Online and Xero (preferred)

Education:

• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
