Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance Controller to support our Brazil operations. This role will be responsible for accounting, statutory reporting, regulatory compliance, accounts payable management, and financial controls for the Brazil entity.

As the primary finance contact in Brazil, the successful candidate will work closely with local business stakeholders, external service providers, and global finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and efficient finance operations.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role requiring strong accounting expertise and the ability to operate independently in a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Accounting, Financial Close & Compliance

• Prepare and coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for the Brazil entity, working closely with outsourced service providers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial records as required.

• Prepare and submit Group reporting packages in accordance with corporate accounting policies and reporting timelines.

• Act as the primary finance contact for external accounting firms, auditors, payroll providers, and other finance service partners.

• Ensure compliance with applicable Brazilian accounting, statutory, and regulatory requirements.

• Support statutory audits, local reporting obligations, and ensure appropriate documentation and financial records are maintained.

• Support SAP implementation and localization activities in Brazil, including finance process design, data validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), reporting validation, and post go-live stabilization.

2.Accounts Payable

• Manage accounts payable activities for the Brazil entity and monitor selected overseas AP transactions, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.

• Perform vendor reconciliations, resolve AP-related issues, and support month-end close and audit requirements.

Business Support

• Serve as the primary finance contact for Brazil operations.

• Partner with business stakeholders and global finance teams on finance and compliance matters.

• Support operational and finance-related projects as required.


Requirements

1.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; professional accounting qualification (CRC, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.

2.8-12 years of experience in accounting, reporting, or finance operations.

3.Strong knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards, statutory reporting, and local compliance requirements.

4.Hands-on experience in month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.

5.Experience supporting new entity setup, finance process implementation, outsourced service provider management, and ERP projects; SAP experience preferred.

6.Ability to work independently as the primary finance representative in Brazil.

7.Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

8.Fluent in Portuguese and English.

9.Mandarin Chinese skills and experience working with China-based stakeholders are a plus.
