Job Summary
The accountant will be responsible for the technical management of the company's accounting, tax, and financial activities, ensuring compliance with current regulations and legislation. They will work on analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and supporting decision-making, aiming to optimize resources and maximize the organization's profitability.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, validate, and ensure the compliance of financial statements, such as balance sheets, trial balances, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Perform accounting, tax, and financial reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy and compliance of records.
- Prepare, validate, and submit accounting, tax, and financial statements, meeting deadlines and regulations stipulated by law.
- Validate the calculation of indirect taxes, working in conjunction with the tax area.
- Prepare and validate the calculation of direct taxes, working in conjunction with external audits.
- Validate the calculation of costs, average cost, absorption, and indirect manufacturing costs, and their correct allocation.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to provide suggestions for management improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external audits, presenting the necessary and reliable documentation when requested.
- Support management in the preparation of the annual budget and in the control of costs and expenses.
- Stay updated on changes in tax and accounting legislation, ensuring compliance.
- Translate and consolidate statutory financial reports to company rules using US GAAP methodology, liaising with the corporate office located in the USA.
- Verify and correctly integrate and account for payroll. Prepare and calculate depreciation, in accordance with current rules and aligned with the parent company.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and tax compliance.
- Experience working with internal and external audits.
- Knowledge of cost accounting principles within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience preparing financial reports under US GAAP standards.
- Advanced or fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with TOTVS/Protheus ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and international teams.
