Our client is seeking a skilled Accountant with strong Argentine accounting and tax compliance experience to support their portfolio of foreign-owned Argentine entities. You will play a key role in managing monthly bookkeeping, statutory filings, financial reporting, and client compliance requirements. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of their Argentine operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform monthly bookkeeping and maintain accounting records in accordance with Argentine professional accounting standards (RT / normas contables argentinas).
- Prepare and file monthly and annual tax obligations with ARCA, including IVA, Libro IVA Digital, SICORE withholding regimes, and Impuesto a las Ganancias.
- Manage provincial Ingresos Brutos obligations, including Convenio Multilateral filings through SIFERE and registrations with ARBA, AGIP, and other provincial authorities.
- Prepare annual financial statements (estados contables), coordinate certification and legalization with the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas, and support IGJ filings and corporate deadlines.
- Manage electronic invoicing compliance and support clients with invoice issuance, validation, and related requirements.
- Coordinate payroll-related tax and social security filings, including Form 931 (SUSS), and reconcile payroll postings to the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages, support IFRS or US GAAP reporting conversions, perform inflation adjustment calculations, respond to tax notifications and audits, and communicate compliance requirements and filing status directly to international clients and referral partners in English.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Degree in Public Accounting (Contador Público) from an accredited Argentine university.
- Active registration with the Consejo Profesional de Ciencias Económicas (CPCECABA or provincial equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Argentine accounting and tax compliance, preferably within a professional services or outsourced accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IVA, Impuesto a las Ganancias, Ingresos Brutos, withholding regimes, and electronic invoicing requirements.
- Experience using Argentine accounting software such as Tango, Bejerman, Holistor, or SAP, along with ARCA online platforms.
- Fluent Spanish and professional-level English, with the ability to explain accounting and tax requirements clearly to international clients.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple client deliverables against fixed monthly and annual deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global EOR, PEO, or multi-country expansion service providers.
- Familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP reporting and conversion requirements for foreign parent companies.
- Experience working with foreign-owned entities and non-resident shareholders.
- Experience maintaining dormant or low-activity entities and managing minimum-activity compliance.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation requirements.
- Experience maintaining statutory accounting books, including Libro Diario and Libro Inventario y Balances, and coordinating related rubrication requirements.
