Accountant

You'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of business and individual clients and delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
• Preparing monthly and quarterly BAS and IAS
• Managing client correspondence and liaising with the ATO and other relevant authorities
• Providing tax planning and business advisory services
• Assisting clients with their ongoing accounting and taxation requirements
• Managing your own workflow and meeting client and statutory deadlines
• Using technology and cloud-based systems to improve efficiency and client service

About you

• 5+ years' experience in public practice
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• CA, CPA or currently working towards qualification
• Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns
• Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirement
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and cloud-based accounting/tax platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
• The confidence to work independently while contributing to a team

Renumeration

$85,000 to $150,000 + superannuation + car parking based on experience and knowledge
