Accountant (Full-Cycle / GL Accountant)

Remote | US Accounting | Full-Time | ⏰ 6 AM - 3 PM PT

Overview

We’re hiring a detail-oriented Accountant (Full-Cycle / GL Accountant) with minimum 3 years of experience. Ready to take full ownership of our accounting function and replace our outsourced bookkeeping model. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and audit-ready financials.

Looking for someone with strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.

Compensation

• Around 800 to 1000 USD

Key Responsibilities

• Own the complete month-end close process (close by the 5th business day)
• Prepare and post accruals, prepaid, deferrals, and re-classes
• Handle bank, credit card, AR, and AP reconciliations
• Maintain accrual, prepaid, and deferred revenue schedules
• Review and correct AR/AP entries from the AR/AP Clerk
• Ensure proper COGS and revenue matching and flag timing issues
• Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance
• Keep QuickBooks Online audit-ready
• Coordinate with external CPA for tax and audit support
• Maintain month-end paperwork and supporting documentation

✅ Must-Have

• Comfortable working in the flexible US shift (6 AM - 3 PM Pacific Time).
• Bachelor of Commerce (required), Master of Commerce (M. Com.) / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) preferred
• 3+ years of work experience with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and full-cycle accounting (month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations)
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
• Month-end close ownership, accruals/prepaids/deferred revenue, balance-sheet reconciliations, financial-statement preparation, revenue & COGS matching.
• Clear written and spoken English with the ability to explain financial entries and variances
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.

• Prior work with US outsourced accounting firms
• Exposure to Bill.com, Gusto, Avalara, or similar tools.
