Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Manager, your role will be part of a small team located in the Ipswich Office working in close cooperation with the engineering, manufacturing and construction units. Aquatec Maxcon Pty Ltd is a leading provider of water, wastewater technology and equipment in Australia engaged in work throughout Australia providing solutions to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Accurate and timely reporting of financial information in line with timelines, presentation guidelines and statutory requirements
• Ensure all balance sheet accounts are completed accurately and efficiently monthly
• Manage chart of accounts and ensure integrity of the GL
• Proactive management of relationships with all stakeholders
• Oversee the planning and management of annual stocktake of major asset classes in all locations – Inventory and Fixed Assets
• Ensure Tax compliance with all corporate and statutory requirements
• Work with operational stakeholders to help identify areas of cost reduction

About you

• Degree qualified, ideally a Bachelor in Accounting
• Ideally progressing to or holding CA/CPA qualification
• Several years of experience in a similar role
• Experience in a similar industry highly sought after
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of experience in the use of Microsoft Excel
