About the role

Alan is looking for a detail-oriented accountant to join the Finance and Strategy team in Paris. You will manage the end-to-end closing process and contribute to the evolution of our financial systems and data infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles across multiple legal entities.
• Execute journal entries in NetSuite and ensure all financial data is accurate and delivered by the J+5 target.
• Conduct first-level reviews of P&L and balance sheet accounts to identify discrepancies and ensure statement reliability.
• Perform daily bank and account reconciliations.
• Handle tax and statutory filings, including VAT and URSSAF declarations.
• Collaborate with the Finance Data team to automate manual workflows and integrate new business streams into accounting processes.

Requirements

• 4 to 6 years of accounting experience gained in an accounting firm or a high-growth startup environment.
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English.
• Expert knowledge of French accounting standards, including general ledger management and tax compliance.
• Ability to independently manage a full closing cycle.
• Must be legally eligible to work in France.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Nice to have

• Prior experience using NetSuite.
• Familiarity with modern accounting tools such as Pennylane or Payflows.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
